• Omega-3 fatty acids. A meta-analysis of nine research papers studied the association between omega-3 fatty acids and liver cancer. Analysis revealed that sufficient dietary intake of omega-3 fatty acids decreased the risk of liver cancer by 51%. In addition, regular consumption of fish was found to reduce the risk of liver cancer by 35%.

• Prevention. For people at risk of liver cancer, take daily 1 g omega- 3 fatty acids (27).

• Treatment. For cirrhosis patients, take daily 2 g omega-3 fatty acids (27).
